The addition of this new professional reinforces the firm’s strategy to expand its practice in advising on complex corporate transactions, capital markets, and innovation projects at startups.
Fabrício Oliveira is an Associate Professor of Business Law at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), holds a postdoctoral degree from the USP Law School (Largo de São Francisco), a Ph.D. in Legal and Business Sciences from the University of Coimbra, and was a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2015. In the institutional sphere, he served as academic vice president of the Minas Gerais Association of Law and Economics (AMDE), is a founding member of IBERC and the Tocqueville Society, and leads the Brazil–China Comparative Corporate Governance Research Group.
Upon announcing his appointment, founding partner Nelson Rosenvald emphasized that Oliveira’s background “aligns with our commitment to providing legal counsel of the highest academic caliber, in line with international best practices in governance.” According to an internal memo, the new member will work across various practice areas, supporting M&A, capital markets, corporate restructuring, and ESG—topics in which he has built recognized academic and professional expertise.
Fabrício Oliveira’s achievements include articles that have won awards from the Institute of Corporate Citizenship (ICE) and the São Paulo Intellectual Property Association (ASPI), as well as peer reviews for specialized journals, such as the Revista de Direito & Economia (RSDE) and the Revista IBERC.
